Volunteering

VolunteeringThe Northern and Yorke NRM Board is about bringing together communities, Landcare, Indigenous communities, industry and all levels of government together to improve the region’s natural resources.

It does this by engaging the regional community in the development of the Comprehensive NRM Plan, offering on-ground works funding to land managers and driving strategic natural resources management projects throughout the region.

There are many ways you can become involved in caring for your own turf – at home, on the land and in your region. And a great way to start is by volunteering to support your local Landcare or community group.

These groups do vital work in their communities and environment – through activities such as weed control, pest animal management, revegetation data collection.

Contact us on 8636 2361 to find out about Landcare and other community groups.
