Integrated Natural Resource Management (INRM) Plan

Integrated NRM Plan

  • application/pdf INRM Plan Part 1 (2.2 MB PDF file)
  • application/pdf INRM Plan Part 2 (1.6 MB PDF file)

The Integrated Natural Resource Management Plan of 2003 was designed to guide and encourage the efforts of individuals, groups and governments committed to managing our region's natural resources.

Prior to its development, natural resources management in Northern and Yorke tended to be spontaneous or localised.  However well-intentioned, this approach lacked strategy and integration.

The INRM Plan has been a collective vision presented in an integrated way.

It has operated as a strategic framework, identifying areas of need and making suggestions for collection NRM action by individuals, groups and governments.

The INRM Plan will provide a strong basis for the ethos and material contained in the upcoming Board’s Comprehensive NRM Plan.
